To help you prepare your holiday, here are some useful indications about the landscapes you’ll encounter:

AnagaIf one were to schematize the island, it looks like the North East Anagaest is unspoiled, mountainous, fertile and authentic. This part houses the Anaga national park, declared in 2015 Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and its primary forest of Laurisilva (one of the last remnants of primary forest in Europe). Picturesque villages come contrast the capital Santa Cruz, San Cristobal de la Laguna or the beautiful town of Orotava.

teideThe north is represented by the Teide National Park (pronounced Te-i-day), natural area on the list of UNESCO World Heritage. volcanic cone which rises to 3718m, the cable car can take you up to 3555m, the last meters must be done on foot and must be booked in advance. The authorities are organizing to limit the number of people who do the last 168m meters ascent, permission must be requested in advance. The Teide is not the only volcano to discover, the national park is full of them. The impressive Caldera of las Cañadas as a horseshoe around the volcano is also part of the national park and will delight hikers with its vast pine forests and its lunar landscapes.

Los GigantesThe South West is home to the mountains of Teno, paradise side of the world among wild ravines and steep cliffs, deep blue ocean shines nugget backdrop, breathtaking. Here you will find the famous and indispensable hiking the ravine of Masca and canyoning courses offered by our partner Benjamin. South of this area, the cliffs of Los Gigantes await, 500m high cliffs that plunge, remember an old volcano which half slipped into the ocean. You also get the whale watching and dolphin area.

Rando du sudThe South is undoubtedly the arid and touristic part of the island. 5stars hotels, golf courses and harbours offering water activities, you are there, you know … right in your preconceptions 🙂 We are not mad at you and we will gladly change your opinion. South, we put our suitcases there 2 years ago. The aridity contrast to the deep blue of the ocean and offers hiking without altitude between sea and mountains.
