Urge to dive
The exceptional geographical situation of Tenerife offer us one of the best climate in the world. Located approximately 300 km of the African coast, the Sun is to go year-round, it assures us temperatures still above 20°C. Meanwhile, winds freshen up the hot air of the desert and limit the maximum temperature around 32°C in summer. The temperature of the water varies between 19°C and 25°C, which makes Tenerife an ideal destination to dive throughout the year as well as a wonderful place to observe Atlantic and warm water species as well.
Diving on a volcano offers an extraordinary experience. The atypical underwater landscapes, gentle slopes, drop-offs, plateaus, caves, arches, sandy bottoms (useful for skills practice and to admire the garden eels) never cease to surprise you. We are not the only beneficiaries of this topographic wealth. Tenerife waters teeming with life. Parrot fishes, ornate wrasses, trumpet fishes, moray eels, barracudas, tunas, groupers, huge shoals of grunts, pufferfishes, octopuses (ans so many more). There’s something for everyone!
Macro lovers, don’t miss nudibranchs and especially the purple flabellines, anemones and small shrimp cleaners.
“Big stuff” amateurs, you will not be outdone, rays will probably join you to explore the volcanic bottoms. Stingrays, butterfly rays, marbled stingrays or even bishop rays, light and air, they crisscrosses funds. You want more ? Make play your luck… keep an eye in the blue… you might see a turtle, tunas hunting, a bench of anchovy brilliant under the rays of the sun or the dolphins. Keep an eye in the sand… the Angel shark hides under our fins. Listen, it is not uncommon to hear the dolphins and whales sing.
In addition to natural resources, man has made some interest sites : Wrecks. Between 15 and 30 meters several wrecks are accessible to both beginners and experienced divers.
Practical considerations :
- All our dive sites are located in maximum 20 minutes of semi-rigid boat, so we spend more time under water than on the boat!
- We can rent you the equipment you are missing.
- If you are not insured, we offer insurance for the day or week (Spanish law requires all divers to be insured)
- Our boats are always equipped with a first aid kit and oxygen therapy.
- Being PADI and CMAS we have a comprehensive approach of the recreational diving. We can properly supervise you as well as leave you in autonomy.
- We are familiar with unsupervised diving groups. We choose with you suitable sites that take advantage of all levels. The volcanic slope is important, the same boat can completely cover two dive sites.
- We take care of non-divers! No need to feel guilty.
